Aims: To have students produce written text using the vocabulary they learned in class.
Class time: 11-12 minutes
Preparation time: 1-2 minutes
Background:
Students have been introduced to several types of aches and illnesses. Students have completed a matching exercise and have read a paragraph where a student describes their ailment. Students have recognized the aches and/or illnesses present within the text they read.
Procedure: (This is the final activity for the class period.)
Students will practice using the aches and pains by writing about a time they experienced one of them. Students will have 10 minutes to describe as much about the experience as they can, using as many of the aches and pains vocabulary as possible. Students will share their experience if time permits. If not, students will be asked to revise their writing for homework and be ready to talk about it at the next class.
